Senior Credit Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

The Sr. Credit Analyst provides credit analysis support to the Commercial Lending staff on loans of all complexity levels to ensure asset quality.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include, but Not Limited To:

1. Analyzing business and personal financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to determine risk involved in lending money to customers; prepare report of findings

2. Preparing credit, cash flow, collateral and industry analysis

3. Spreading financial statements and tax returns with PC-based software

4. Generating financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers’ financial status

5. Performing and communicating Residential and Commercial appraisal reviews with all levels of management and Commercial Lending team

6. Completing other duties as assigned

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:

1. Fluency with Sageworks or automated spreading software

2. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data

3. Strong mathematical skills with high degree of accuracy; and, strong analytical skills

4. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

5. Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal

6. Produces work that is highly accurate; demonstrates attention to detail

7. Able to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with Bank policy, practice, mission, vision, and/or culture

8. Able to interpret and comply with the spirit and intent of all Federal and State regulations, policies, procedures, reports, and/or documents

9. Able to develop strong working relationships and interact in a professional manner with all levels across the organization

10. Able to represent the Bank in community volunteer activities

11. Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance or economics or equivalent combination of education and business or credit-related experience

12. Three to five years of credit analysis and/or banking experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. Able to lift and carry 10 lbs.

2. Able to be present in the office during regular business hours unless otherwise authorized

3. Able and willing to work during nonstandard business hours

4. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to all Bank, client event, and training locations
