USB is currently seeking a Technology Analyst to perform the following responsibilities:
The duties being performed for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Works as a Team Leader of a Data Exchange team to process, monitor, and implements new customers on data exchange, small parcel, and data processing architecture;
  • Conduction analysis of business needs during the implementation of complex multi-million dollar shipper/carrier projects to drive efficiencies and guide Implementation consultants in best practices for electronic data transfers.
  • Plan agendas; coordinate with business leaders and managers when working implementation centric to both complex inbound and outbound data files.
  • Build test schedules for technology customers to include tracking and reporting of all customers key EDI deliverables.
  • Negotiate with customer and third party providers to supply required elements for efficient deliveries and long term scalable solutions.
  • Ability to analyze issues to include root cause, documentation of short term fixes and working with development staff in planning and contributing to technology long term solutions for customers.
  • Provides presentations as required to senior level staff of analysis and solutions.
  • Familiar with EDI translator software, ANSI X12, and XML formats file formats.
  • Ability to perform write and understand SQL statements at a high level
  • Required to manage multiple EDI technology projects at one time and provide metrics against progress. This will include recommendations to project release recommendations dependent upon findings.
  • Through understanding of the development life cycle.
  • 10% Travel required

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • Five to eight years of experience in computer technology applications and analysis
  • Three to five years of experience in project management and leadership
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting and making verbal and written presentations
  • Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology (PLM) and testing methodology/procedures
  • Ability to develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues, and report on test results
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills
  • Thorough knowledge of a business line or function area
  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast- paced team environment
  • Strong skill set proficiency in EDI, XML, ANSI X12, and SQL
  • Axway communication software, EDI translation software, Foresight EDISIM data analysis tool, and ULTRA Edit text editing software
  • Willingness and ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Language skills in French or German a plus but not required
