Senior Business Systems Analyst

TD Securities, the wholesale trading subsidiary, of TD Bank is seeking a self-starting, motivated and high-performing individual who look forward to being a strong contributor in a dynamic front office technology organization at a major bank. This is a visible and complex role that will require the analyst to interface with executives and salespeople globally. Collaboration with other business groups may be required, such as traders, compliance, and operations.

The successful candidate will to interface with a key technology vendor and help build database and business intelligence tool for the sales organization (front office)

• Support sales system project implementation – Communicate data and system tool requirements with the vendor and internal developer

• Conduct data analysis and reconcile multiple data sources

• Coordinate and facilitate sales execution of the business initiative. Communicate effectively throughout the sales organization and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Provide global user training and support

• Ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and presentation materials to support the decision making of executives. #LI-JH2

Job Requirements
• Clear understanding of Canadian Wholesale banking, Institutional workflows

• Strong understanding of various Capital Markets instruments (Bonds, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Trades, Options etc.)

• Proven understanding of data, data feeds, data management, data structures and messaging platforms services

• Solid database knowledge/experience – SQL (Oracle, VB nice to have)

• Clear understanding of Sales-to-client and Sales-to-Trading workflow and technologies

• Ability to deep dive into conversations about data and data rationalization

• Ability to write and maintain technical documents and create technical requirements

• Strong understanding of SDLC and experience working with technical teams.

• Experience in managing projects, release & change management

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Previous experience on a trading desk and/or technology group within trading

• Strong understanding of Data, database queries, (Cognos, and/or datacube technologies are nice to have)

• Experience working in an Agile environment methodology, daily stand-ups

• Good understanding/experience working in a RAD (rapid application deployment environment)

• Experience with Jira, Confluence – must have (used for project tracking)

• Advanced proficiency with productivity software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Qualifications
• 6 to 8 years of experience in financial services in a business analysis, sales/trading function or technology/systems role.

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related fields.
