General Summary:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work with a large, highly skilled team on a critical SAP project. As part of the SAP Global Project Initiative within Dell’s IT organization, you will work with business resources and development teams throughout the complete project life cycle. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the system implementation including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, designing the future state solution, the development objects related to their process scope, as well as supporting testing and post implementation activities. Other responsibilities will include defect resolution and production support activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
‒ Provide business system analysis and functional support for SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and SAP FICO Record-to-Report (R2R) modules
‒ Support the business process and information technology needs required by Dell to meet their operational, tactical and strategic objectives
‒ Execute configuration requests for SAP FI and R2R
‒ Assist in gathering, documenting and clarifying business requirements
‒ Create functional designs using a disciplined application implementation methodology
‒ Translate system requirements into unit and function test scripts
‒ Execute unit test scripts, and support function and user acceptance testing
‒ Provide training to end users and create end-user documentation
‒ Assist project managers in identifying tasks and developing project plans
‒ Lead cross-functional business and technical teams to deliver the selected solution
‒ Assist project managers in the execution of project tasks and communicate issues and status in a timely manner
‒ Represent IT as the principal technical contact and perform technical project leadership role
‒ Implement decisions, take feedback constructively, and work towards the common goals of quality project delivery under aggressive time lines
‒ Ability to get trained in house on new SAP Modules mainly related to FCM Projects
Qualifications:
Required:
‒ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 6+ years relevant experience
‒ At least 5 years of SAP project life-cycle Implementation/support experience with SAP FICO; should have worked on at least 5 full life-cycle SAP implementations/support projects as a R2R consultant
‒ Hands-on experience with SAP FI/R2R/AP
‒ Should have in-depth knowledge in General Ledger, Fixed Assets, AP, GL Master Data, configuring Chart of Accounts and Account Groups in General Ledger, Invoice Processing
‒ Hands-on experience with SAP FICO, A/P Outgoing payments and Open item clearing in A/P, Automatic Payment Program for A/P including Partial Payment Configuration
‒ Experience with Asset Accounting, Product Costing, and Project Systems
‒ Expertise in business process improvement, SAP ASAP methodology systems design, development and full SAP R/3 Life Cycle implementation
‒ Expertise implementing SAP FI General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), especially in highly complex Business Environment; controlling expertise includes Cost Center Accounting, Cost and Revenue Element Accounting, Profit Center Accounting and Internal Order
‒ Configuration/Customization in the area of Vendor Master Data; creation and maintenance of Field Status Groups, Posting Keys, Document Types, Posting Periods and Dunning / Payment processes in AR/AP
‒ Experience with international sales/use tax, treasury/cash management, and inter-company processes, External Tax engine (e.g. Vertex) Controlling Module (CO Assessment / Distribution, COPA, product costing)
Preferred:
‒ Experience with SAP FI-CA module
‒ SAP certification in respective area of expertise
