Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and manage comprehensive reporting solutions utilizing the Microsoft BI and Tableau platforms.

  • Plan and analyze automated solutions and processes; work with users and IT to determine optimal solution scope.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all work carried out, including data models, stored procedures, and report definitions.

Required Experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in the Microsoft SQL Server database engine and mastery of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, T-SQL.

  • Preferred experience in cloud BI platforms such as Azure, AWS, Hadoop, Redshift.

  • Strong knowledge of ANSI SQL Standards and stored procedures in latest versions of SQL Server.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; Master’s degree is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining BI using the latest versions of Microsoft SQL Server using combination of SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and T-SQL.

  • Strong dedication to maintaining high customer service and quality controls levels while meeting project deadlines.

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant to join our team in New York. Infusion’s Business Intelligence (BI) practice is a Microsoft Gold Certified BI Partner that was awarded Microsoft Impact Award for BI Partner of the Year. Our team consists of highly skilled individuals that are specialized in business process automation, data management, design, architecture, reporting and analytics. The BI Team takes a business first approach with our clients as we work closely them to understand and analyze their business and operational processes; their data collection mechanisms; their data reporting and decision making processes. This analysis allows us to formulate a vision and plan to work towards streamlining their enterprise wide processes to efficiently collect, manage, report on and analyze the data that is required by decision makers. We create a vision that looks beyond the traditional walls of departmental data silos and increases proactive lines of communication across an enterprise to ensure the right people are receiving the right data at the right time (when it is needed). Typically, we utilize the Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack to build enterprise solutions that complement an organization’s BI vision and goals. We provide our clients, across various different industries, with the tools and skills to organically grow and evolve Business Intelligence throughout the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform Enterprise wide business process analysis
  • Work closely with our clients to define system requirements
  • Design/implement Databases, Data warehouses and BI solutions around high volume enterprise applications
  • Develop business insight through reporting and dashboarding solutions
  • Provide training for our clients in the BI and data warehousing space
  • Execute rapid prototyping to support presales activities
  • Provide team leadership/co-ordination on projects

Qualifications

  • 5 years of hands on experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Analysis Services
  • 3 years of hands on experience working with Integration Services or other like ETL tools
  • 3 years of hands on experience with Reporting Services
  • Experience with PowerBI, SharePoint, Performance Point, Excel Services, PowerPivot
  • Proven experience with SQL and advanced database topics including: performance tuning, partitioning, data warehousing, server maintenance
  • Strong understanding of OLAP database/cube architecture, Normalization & Data mining
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel Nice to have:
  • A working knowledge of Oracle
  • Previous experience with Cognos or Hyperion or other BI technologies
  • Understanding of OOP methodologies
  • Understanding of the .NET framework and .NET technologies including: C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, Windows Forms
