Who we’re looking for

The TFS Business Intelligence Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Analyst, Hyperion.

The primary responsibility of this client facing role is to develop new planning, reporting, analytics solutions using Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) initiatives, specifically Hyperion Planning, Essbase, to enhance TFS business decision support and business operations. As part of the front-end delivery team, this person will be interacting with FP&A and Accounting teams, Business Technology Solutions (BTS), and Legal/Compliance inside of TFS.

A successful candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in Hyperion Planning, supporting end user in Finance and Accounting teams. They will have functional knowledge in the areas of Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, GAAP accounting, financial audits, internal controls, US regulatory reporting. Their technical proficiency will include HFR, SmartView, OBIEE or Tableau, and PL SQL/SQL.

What you’ll be doing

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on Oracle Hyperion Planning, Reporting and Analytics systems
  • Develop new and maintain existing SOX controls required for keeping the Planning & Reporting applications and Finance data mart SOX compliant
  • Support strategic direction and vision for the financial data & reporting strategy
  • Work with business and business analysts to identify critical business processes impacted by projects and ensure projects manage to the success of those processes
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with business units and project team to identify and resolve issues, manage risks, and communicate project status
  • Oversees the day-to-day activities of external technology vendors and consultants.
  • Manage multiple project workstreams as necessary
  • Serves as a technical backstop to developers to resolve day-to-day performance issues and design hurdles. Requires hands-on experience, including managing the metadata, the creation of accounts, entities and the custom dimensions, designing new reports , implementing user security, and using SmartView for ad-hoc analysis
  • Performs systems analysis to understand user requirements and translates them into technical specifications.
  • Improves performance and value of existing queries, reports and tools including tuning the application and planning for capacity increases
  • Provides Level 3 support to Operations support team as necessary


What you bring

  • Hands-on delivery experience on the technical configuration of Hyperion suite of tools, with a specialty in Hyperion Planning, Essbase
  • Working knowledge of Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, GAAP accounting, financial audits, internal controls, US regulatory reporting
  • Hands on experience with Reporting & Analytics tools (i.e. HFR, SmartView, OBIEE or Tableau)
  • Hands on experience in Data programming tools like PL SQL/SQL
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a like field of study
