SEG (Sports & Entertainment Group) Corporate Associate (Atlanta, GA)

The SunTrust Sports & Entertainment Group ("SEG") is currently seeking an experienced Analyst (the "Applicant") to join the growing team and assist in managing a high level of deal activity. Based in Atlanta, GA and with an office in Los Angeles, CA, SEG covers three primary verticals including Sports (Professional Leagues / Motorsports, Professional Sports Franchises, and Sports Agencies), Music & Live Entertainment (Music Publishing, Live Entertainment / Touring, and Talent Management), and Film & Television (Independent Film Producers and Distributors, Independent TV Producers & Distributors, and Post Production / VFX Services). This opening is an opportunity for a skilled modeler and a team player to work in a dynamic group and have ample opportunities for growth and exposure to a variety of sports & entertainment segments. SEG operates in a fairly flat organizational structure so the Applicant will sometimes find themselves working directly with Senior Bankers on certain projects and deals and may be asked to attend industry events and conferences with Senior Bankers. Client interaction in the group is quite high so the Applicant will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to manage several live opportunities and processes at once. Applicants will be asked to create and analyze financial models, develop client presentations and conduct industry research. Analysts also serve as key members of merger and acquisition and capital raising transaction teams, providing analysis, drafting information memoranda, developing management and investor presentations and facilitating the deal process from start to finish. Applicant will also be expected to help manage internal deal tracking and pipeline reporting, as well as prepare and produce industry specific white papers and analysis to be used in business planning. Experience in a corporate & investment banking environment is a strong plus and having knowledge of the underwriting process for both syndicated and sole bank facilities would also be a key strength. Must also maintain a thorough knowledge of the sports, music and film industries and their complexities. Provides direct client service as part of a relationship management team. Serves as first point of contact for the client and has autonomy to resolve a wide range of issues. Stays abreast of product and procedural changes, market trends and promotions, and new products and services. Determines appropriate SunTrust accounts and products for the client. Responsible for client retention and service excellence. Recognizes relationships at risk and notifies the appropriate client representative.

If appropriate, maintains proper licenses including Series 7, Series 63, and Series 79. Must obtain licenses within 6 months of assuming registered position. Ensures that appropriate continuing education requirements are met where needed. Satisfies regulatory requirements for holding the position, including determined by SunTrust to meet the qualification standards imposed by the Loan Originator Compensation rule of the Truth in Lending Act.

Requires significant travel including weekends.
