Desired Qualifications:
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite & office equipment. Experience working in diverse customer service environment. Demonstrate strong written/oral communication skills & ability to effectively communicate & work in collaboration with staff of all levels/students/general public. Demonstrate ability to follow oral/written instructions, collect data, maintain records, prepare reports & multi-task. Experience managing key inventories/access to secure areas. Knowledge of EPro, PCard reconciliation

Duties:
Under general supervision, performs secretarial work such as composing routine correspondence, maintaining records and obtaining and providing factual information requiring knowledge of policies and procedures of both the assigned and related work area. Also supervise the information desk, answering phone and maintaining records. This is an extremely high volume public environment. Must have strong public relations skills.

Primary Duties are:

1. Operates office equipment including copy machine, calculator, typewriter, PC computer, fax, etc. in performance of regular tasks.

2. Composes correspondence with students and staff within established guidelines.

3. Answers a multi-line phone, screens and calls and takes and organizes messages.

4. Greets, assists and schedules appointments and room reservations with the public, students, faculty and staff. Refers students, public and staff to proper campus resources.

5. Provides supervision of part-time, student desk staff and serves as primary clerical support which includes desk coverage (i.e. during breaks, meals, absences, or as business needs require) to areas (i.e. same or other buildings) within Residence Education as requested.

6. Maintains records on personnel, student discipline and financial-related records and assists with or performs reconciliation of Transaction Detail Report (TDR).

7. Maintains security and key inventory records of the building, including completing key inventory.

8. Maintain office supplies.

9. Sorts & files forms, reports & correspondence according to departmental policies and procedures.

10. Assist staff with emergency response procedures; takes appropriate action.

Secondary duties are:

1. Conducts building tours for prospective students and their parents.

2. Assist student government with administrative tasks.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment and includes the use of word processing.

2. Ability to type at a minimum speed of 40 net words per minute.
