Join a brand new organization at U.S. Bank as a Scrum Master for an enterprise API channel. This team will pave the way for new approaches to innovation, product management, agile development and organizational design.

This team is responsible for managing the API technology platform, developer portals and API strategic design and development of external API delivery solutions. In order to execute this function, the team collaborates with product managers, business teams, and other Technology & Operations (TOS) groups to design, develop, and implement APIs, support and improve the platform and developer portals.

You will report directly to the Program Office Director and provide leadership and mentorship to the API team to follow Agile principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Build an environment of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure clear communication and organization of all team objectives
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Agile Team Members, Product Managers, Product Owners and Leadership, including Delivery Leaders and Value Stream Leaders to provide transparency and accountability
  • Make decisions that propel the team forward
  • Guide team in self-organization, encouraging and motivating team to focus on iteration goals and deliver value quickly
  • Participate as needed in training and implementation of the supported application
  • Use data to measure/monitor progress toward objectives and identify key areas of focus for continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to eight years of experience in project management and leadership activities
  • Four or more years of managerial experience
Required Skills/Experience

  • Scrum Certification (CSM, SA)
  • 4 years of professional experience working in Agile teams
  • Experience in technology delivery and a solid understanding of basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience successfully delivering solutions on an aggressive schedule
  • Conflict resolution capabilities through scrum values of openness; honesty and respect
  • Ability to identify and remove impediments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial services industry experience is helpful
  • SAFe certification and experience
