Scrum Master

The Scrum Master will lead the team into the mentality and the agile practices during their daily work.

The scrum master focuses on people, their interaction and their organization for the adoption andapplication of agility.

The scrum master should have some of the following accreditations: CSP, CSD, CSM (Scrum Alliance) or PSM (Scrum.org), experience working in teams without agile knowledge, able to express the advantages of agility and not feel frustration in case of difficulties. The candidate must have experience running training sessions and knowledge transfer to teams.As Scrum Master the candidate will work with our experts from Everis Agile Center of Excellence to share experiences with our teams of experts, working together on agile business transformations, providing ideas and enjoying daily work in an agile environment with fantastic facilities created to perform their work with the teams. The Scrum Master should provide agile guidance, be a benchmark, preach by example, work with teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Stakeholders.

Scrum Master Skills:

  • Proven experience in Agile Frameworks (Lean, Kanban, XP, Etc.), especially in Scrum.
  • Experience training sessions, courses and workshops.
  • Public speaking experience (preferably agile topics).
  • Good self-control and frustration management with clients or people with little agility.
  • Team Building.
  • Idea generator.
  • Culture of improvement and continuous learning agent.

Responsibilities of the Scrum Master:

  • Ensure the team adheres and understands scrum theory, practices and rules.
  • Find techniques to manage the product backlog effectively.
  • Help the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise product backlog elements.
  • Understand and practice agility
  • Understand product planning in an empirical environment.
  • Ensure that the Product Owner knows how to order the product backlog to maximize value.
  • Understand and practice agility
  • Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed.
  • Guiding the Development Team to become self-organizing and multifunctional
  • Helping the development team to create high-value products.
  • Removing impediments to the Development Team’s progress
  • Motivating changes in order to increase the Scrum Team productivity
  • Change agent and continuous improvement for the team. Building a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Must measure and provide feedback on team improvements. Must understand the value of metrics and information radiators

Scrum Master profile:

  • Must have Initiative, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.
  • Must have motivation for individual development of scrum team members.
  • Must have emotional intelligence.
  • Someone who has change management skills (flexibility, versatility).
  • Results oriented
  • Quality oriented, understood as Customer Satisfaction.
  • Must have communication skills.
