Satellite Operations Software Developer

Develop software to support satellite command and control. Work with a team of engineers and software engineers to design and implement algorithms, APIs, user interfaces, and graphical displays for a simulation software suite. Support the development of tools, processes, and automation of new and existing systems.

Design, implement, and test object oriented software in C++ and/or C#

Perform detailed requirements elicitation

Prepare software design and user-level documentation

Enhance software to improve maintainability, reduce operating time, or improve efficiency

Required Skills

Required Experience

2+ years’ experience as a software developer

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Fluent in C++ and/or C#

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

US Citizenship and an ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Clearance are REQUIRED.

Preferred Experience:
Experience with the complete software development life cycle

Experience with XML, SQL, and ASP.NET

Proficiency in Object Oriented Design and UML

Experience working in an environment using Agile methodology

MS in Computer Science or related field

Experience with Telemetry, Tracking, and Command (TT&C) systems

Knowledge of Satellite Operations and/or Space Systems

Note: DoD TS/SCI Clearance is preferred.
