SAS Programmer

RemX has an immediate need for a SAS Programmer for a quarterly (schedule will be provided) contract. $33-45/hour depending on experience.

This is a great opportunity to be involved with an International Non-Profit Organization.

The SAS Programmer will:

• Convert provided data from Excel to SAS, and to produce the following analysis products quarterly:
• Tabulations of each variable for all partner NGOs
• NGO partner ranking for each variable by quartile
• Bar graphs (SAS or Excel) of all NGO partners combined for each variable
• Analysis variables may be prevalences (percentages), means or counts as specified by the CARE Amway Project Manager. Quarterly tabulations should provide a virtual training on the NLB curriculum within a period of two weeks, with one to two sessions per day and a maximum of 8 hours.

• Provide Quarterly and Year-end Analysis
• At the end of each calendar year, and in conjunction with producing the following year’s first-quarter analysis products, the programmer will provide an annual summary for each partner NGO with quarterly values of all analyzed variables, and an annual summary (percentage, mean, count), in tabular format.

• Additionally, the programmer will provide a by-quarter, by-NGO summary of each analysis variable.

Job Requirements

The SAS Programmer Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, economics, mathematics, marketing analytics)
• Proficient in SAS/SQL; minimum 3 years’ experience
• Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel
• Solid planning, priority setting, and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Successful developing relationships within and across functional teams (including statistical, technical, and marketing resources)
• Highly motivated and collaborative
• Strong technical skills
• Acute attention to detail (QA/QC)
• Effective organization and time management skills
• Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities
