We are currently looking for a SAP Solutions Engineer, Operations to join the Thales team in Irvine, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the efforts of both the project and functional/technical support activities for the Operations domain. This work includes both SAP logistics modules (MM, WM, PP, PM, QM) along with supporting applications and tools.
Convert business requirements into functional specification based on business requirements.
Responsible for supervising system configuration in the Logistics modules by any external service providers.
Responsible for the support of the Operations domain including any functional/technical support provided by external service providers.
Lead all projects/enhancements/changes related to the Operations domain.
Project manager on projects/initiatives related to SAP or relevant applications for the operations domain through their entire lifecycle, including estimating resource requirements, RFP and SOW reviews, project activities and dependencies.
Review functional specifications document when provided by external service providers.
As required, directly support business issues related to SAP Logistics modules.
Manage project teams and support resources assigned to the Operations domain.
Work with managed service partner’s delivery manager to ensure quality of service (QoS) for the Operations team.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Experience:

Must be familiar with SAP ECC 6.0 logistics functionality up through enhancement pack 4.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or related field/foreign equivalent required, Master’s Degree in Computer Science, related field or foreign equivalent highly desired.
10 years’ experience as an Logistics consultant or functional team member specializing in three of the following modules (MM, WM, PP, PM, QM)
4 full lifecycle implementation projects as a MM, WM, PP, PM, QM functional/configuration team member.
2 full lifecycle upgrade projects as a MM, WM, PP, PM, or QM, functional /configuration team member.
Strong understanding of the integration points between logistics and finance.
3+ years as a project team leader or work package manager.
Be able to independently solve complex functional issues in SAP
Experienced with utilizing OSS and submitting support messages to SAP.
Experienced with utilizing ASAP methodology.
Must be able to communicate technical requirements to an ABAP Developer and assist them with program development
Must be able to work cross-functionality with other IT teams, such as Basis and IFEC systems development teams.
