SAP EDI Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is for SAP EDI Business Analyst with 3 full life cycle project implementation experience.

Key Accountability and Skills Summary:

• Knowledge on EDI – customer, supplier, warehouse, logistics mappings and process in SAP environment.
• Develop functional specification and EDI mapping document for development efforts.
• Work with third party vendor to design the EDI system
• SAP PI development and SAP IDOC knowledge is required.
• Collecting data about existing and new EDI interfaces – Act as a EDI Business analyst
• Transaction types determination – Work with the value streams to identify SAP data element for each transaction type.
• Business rules validation with EDI subject matter expert.
• Responsible to write mapping specifications for 3rd Party Logistics provider interfaces.
• Test and Validate EDI interfaces in SAP Process Integration to convert SAP data to files.
• Unit testing for non EDI interfaces for the course of the project.
• Offshore co-ordination for EDI interfaces and Process Integration interfaces.
• Co-ordinate with EDI Managed Service partner for code migration to testing and production environments.
• Meet with the business users to determine EDI requirements.
• Facilitating and Attend training session for Active documents, support engagement channels post go-live.
• Co-ordination for issues like error notifications and transaction reprocessing etc.
• Handle testing efforts during Unit testing, Integration testing.
• Responsible to identify and fix errors in SAP and Process Integration for testing cycles.
• Work with Integration Manager and EDI subject matter expert to establish short term and long term support plan.
• Transition from EDI subject matter expert to be able to handle post go-live support.
• Draft connectivity related forms.
• Work with EDI Managed service partner and Briggs & Stratton IT Operations team to ensuring the VAN migration to EDI trading grid is successful.
• Cut-over plan preparation for the Go-Live
