SAP Business Analyst – EDI & SD

This is a full-time direct position, no contractor or consultants need apply.

Position Objective:

This position will provide support and continual improvement project work in the EDI area with SAP and be the focal point for EDI related issues and improvements. The individual is expected to perform all tasks in the development cycle, starting from business process definition, to configuration and unit testing, assistance and follow-up with user testing, to co-ordination of transports to Production, to training and post-live support and fixes, etc.

Responsibilities

• Effectively lead assigned projects, manage deadlines, manage business communication and provide status updates
• Support of existing EDI processes and transactional workflow
• Design and Test functionality for regular code deployments
• Lead non-SAP related projects for business process enhancements
• On-call production support as needed

Relationship to Others:

This position will interact with a variety of global and local IT and business teams with emphasis on developing and deploying IT improvements to meet evolving business processes.

Dimensions of Position:

The qualified individual should be an expert in the SAP EDI related business processes and configuration requirements and integration with other modules.

This individual will be responsible for maintaining the existing production system and identifying and implementing areas for improvement for the SAP environment and supporting applications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education

• Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 5+ years implementing and supporting EDI in SAP
• Experience with EDI transactions/messages 850, 820, 810, 855, 856
• Experience implementing and supporting SAP in global organizations
• 3+ years for customizing Sales and Distribution processes for a manufacturing business

Skills

• EDI ANSI X12 formats and IDoc structures required
• Experience in configuring SAP for new EDI partners including partner profiles and output condition records desired
• Experience working with VAN’s – SPSCommerce
• Ability to debug SAP Abap programs and function modules is a plus
• Preferred experience in setup and maintenance of Pricing in SAP
• Experience in other SAP modules is a plus including SD/LE
• Excellent communication skills in English (some German) are a prerequisite for this position
• Strong facilitation and presentation experience
• Strong Microsoft Windows suite knowledge (Excel, Visio, PPT, Word etc.)
