Sales Executive

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Trade Finance/Logistics Diploma or Degree
  • Requirments

  • 5-15 years experience in Logistics Sales – not negotiable
  • Duties

    Identify potential customers and develop a business development plan to reach them.

    Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.

    Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new revenues.

    Presenting company to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails.

    Responsible for your own lead generation and appointment setting and actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; handover to the line managers.

    Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities are captured and explored.

    You will have individual responsibility for new business and are expected to be autonomous; however, you will be part of a growing team of people with the same job title. You will work in close collaboration with the management team for complex large pitches and strategies.

    Managing and maintaining a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration is up to date using the CRM software.

    Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following company procedure.

    Effectively interact with other departments including the Operations Manager when handing over SOPs ensuring you fully and correctly brief in all aspects of the sale.

    Ensuring logistics remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients.

    Come up with strategies, tactics, profit targets and sales plans.

    Work with the CEO for sales initiatives on different mediums like the internet, print and electronic media.

    Maintain the existing client base.

    Develop and maintain good relations with key clients of the company.

    Represent the organization at trade shows and events.

    Ensure that the team follows the company”s procedures and policies.

    A group sales executive should lead by example. He/she should maintain a professional image at all times, follow the rules and regulations and do his/her work sincerely and well.

    Keep an accurate record of sales and targets.
