Responsible for promoting and selling products and services of California Quality Plastics.

Job Description and Duties:

The position is responsible for:

  • Promoting and selling products and services for selected division of California Quality Plastics.
  • Growing the customer base and gross sales at acceptable margins.
  • Developing, launching and maintaining sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Fielding a portion of the incoming, new customer leads for other sales division.
  • Responding rapidly to incoming tasks: Quote requests, estimates and inquiries.
  • Estimating the cost of jobs.
  • Entering the quotes and information into the computer data base.
  • Establishing the sales prices, and promoting all aspects of exceptional Customer Service.
  • The position is primarily and in-house position with occasional outside travel.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate commitment to the Vision, Mission and Core Values of CQP.
  • Understand CQP’s products, services and capabilities.
  • Learn and understand the competitions’ products services and capabilities.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide back-up for other Sales and Customer Service personnel.
  • Through proficient use of interpersonal skills via phone, email and in person, engage and probe customers to ensure their true needs are determined and provide optimal solutions.
  • Regular outbound calling to follow up on opportunities and leads.
  • Maintain account relationships with key decision makers at assigned accounts and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of account organization.
  • Utilize available, up-to-date technology to stay organized and keep others informed of your activities.
  • Maintain clean and company-accessible records of all quoted jobs.

Goals

  • Meeting or beating monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts.
  • Maintain overall net sales at acceptable company margins.
  • Open up new markets and/or expand existing markets.

Reporting To:

Business Development Manager

Evaluations:

An evaluation will take place upon the completion of the 30-day and 90-day probationary periods. Additional evaluations will be conducted each year and/or as deemed required by management.

Compensation Program:

The position’s compensation program is structured in a manner that incentivizes and rewards the employee for achieving results that benefit the division and the company. High achievers have the potential to earn $60,000 to $100,000

Overall compensations combines the following earning categories:

  • A monthly draw against earned commissions (paid every other week).
  • A monthly incentive bonuses for meeting or exceeding invoicing forecasts.
  • An Annual incentive bonuses for meeting or exceeding invoicing forecasts.
  • Profitability Incentive Bonuses tied to the financial health and pre-tax earnings of the overall company.

Job Requirements/Skills:

  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • 5 plus years of related work experience
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
