RF Test Engineer

The Role:
Ossia is looking for an RF Test Engineer to design, implement and execute test systems that verify the performance of wireless power systems and associated sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities include:
Developing automated test systems from the ground up including both hardware and software modules for chip level, board level, and system-level testing.

Identify and recommend test equipment

Test cases may include:
Transmit power, gain control, modulation quality, phase noise, transmit mask, spurious emissions, receiver sensitivity, in-band and out-of-band blockers, sand other characteristics.

Regulatory tests and other standards

Antenna gain, EIRP, radiated emissions

Conducted and radiated emissions

Digital and baseband signal integrity and timing verification

Investigate regulatory standards (FCC and others) and develop associated test procedures.

Generate detailed reports documenting test results.

Requirements:
5+ years of relevant experience as a Test Engineer or similar.

Proven track record in bench-level design and assembly of automated test system and associated control software working with various measurement equipment.

Understanding of EMI mitigation techniques and knowledge of RF measurement techniques.

Hands-on experience in manual and remote GPIB/SCPI/Ethernet operation of spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meters, logic analyzers and other industry standard test equipment.

PCB design experience working with different design tools and schematic software.

Hands on programming in Python, C, C++, Labview, and Matlab.

Strong documentation capabilities and ability to generate detailed test procedures and reports.

Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering needed

MS preferred
