To help us drive our success into the future, we are looking for an experienced Resilience Engineer to join our team at our Johannesburg offices. Job Purpose

Responsible for the resilience of Group Information Technology across the entire eco system of the bank by improving availability, reliability and performance of business-critical customer facing systems, whilst building sustainable capability. This complex task is delivered in conjunction with the CIO and CTO communities

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Analyse, Report and structure strategies to ensure optimal systems stability

Optimise, Provide Governance and Test Solutions to support systems stability

Monitor, Design and deliver on plans to support and continuously build systems resilience

Establish and mature the Group Information Technology Resilience and operational readiness capability to ensure system stability and adequate remediation

Establish and manage the Critical Systems Remediation Programme portfolio and delivery roadmap to ensure system stability

Lead and co-ordinate the end to end Critical Systems Remediation programme execution to ensure system stability

Manage the effective realisation of the objectives and benefits of the Resilience programme portfolio to ensure remediation

Provide Leadership and subject matter expertise to build communities of engineering excellence

Preferred Qualification and Experience

Qualifications:

IT and Computer Sciences Honours degree

Information Studies Honours Degree

Business commerce or information technology or relevant experience in one or more of: DevOps, C, C++, Java, Perl, Python,

IT and Computer Sciences Management Development Certificate

Recognised Project/ Programme/ Portfolio management industry qualification

Experience:

Strong problem-solving skillsskills

Passion for technology as well helping customers and team members

Expertise with cloud -continuous deployment -based software development lifecycles

Mastery of infrastructure automation technologies Mastery of infrastructure automation technologies

Excellent Verbal and written communications skills.

Eagerness to learn

5+ years in operations or software engineering role

Must have experience in DevOps.
