Successful applicant needs to have experience in cell culture (cell treatment, harvesting), as well as molecular biology techniques (DNA plasmid preparation, restriction digestion and cloning; RNA preparation, and quantitative real-time PCR, Western blot analysis, ELISA’s, IHC, real-time confocal microscopy. The position will also require occasional processing of human tissue, blood, and urine samples under approved protocols. Able to be flexible and to work on weekends when necessary. Experience with Macintosh and IBM computers (Word, Excel). This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate’s competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher (Master’s degree preferred) or higher plus seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. We are interested in responsible, accountable, and conscientious applicants with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science and hands-on experience with the techniques described above. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.
