Research Scientist

Solidia Technologies is searching for a commercially experienced Scientist in the field of Materials Science, Civil Engineering or Geological Sciences to conduct failure analysis on cementious materials. General Duties:
Lead project teams and manage research projects that combine or modify materials in different ways to improve the performance, durability and cost-effectiveness of processes and products.

Analyze data using appropriate analysis methods and computer software and document results in comprehensive, well-written project reports.

Communicate within cross-functional teams to strategically develop future research based on research findings as well as practical, process oriented, client-focused market need.

Present research findings internally and externally as requested.

Requirements :
PhD (preferred) in a scientific field such as: Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Geological Sciences and/or Concrete Technology

Prior experience in commercial product development/​R&D environment

Knowledge of concrete and cement preferred

Experience with failure analysis of concrete structures preferred

Experience leading research project teams desired

Some travel (approximately 10 – 25%) may be required
