Research Assistant - Obesity

Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Research Assistant will support all aspects of multiple longitudinal research studies that comprehensively characterize body composition changes. The Research Assistant will perform data collection, schedule participants visits and study tests between different laboratories. Perform data entry and maintains detailed study files. Assist with case report forms to ensure data quality, integrity and compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements. Will assist the Principal Investigator with the preparation of documents for renewals, modifications, yearly submissions, correspondence, and audit related to IRB and NIH, for ongoing research studies. Assist with study-related purchases as well as the daily quality control of various body composition technologies. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science and at least 1.5 yrs of related experience or equivalent in training and/or experience.

The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made.

Master’s degree would substitute for experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work well in a team.
