Research Analyst

The Gateway Institute for Brain Research, a scientific research organization dedicated to treating Parkinson’s Disease and other Neuro-Degenerative disorders, is seeking a Research Analyst who will assist our scientific teams with literature review and help shape the direction of our research efforts.

Duties Include:

• Collaborate with Scientific Teams to formulate and periodically update overarching literature review goals and strategies.
• Perform complex research of various forms of scientific literature and prepare scientific reviews, meta-analyses, and data summaries.
• Coordinate and integrate the literature review activities of supporting staff and communicate research progress and results.
• Evaluate ongoing literature reviews and make suggestions for improvement.
• Develop and maintain supporting electronic libraries and databases.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant scientific trends through readings, conferences, and seminars.
• Summarize and interpret human subject research project results and assist in preparation of research papers, reports, and briefings, as requested.
• Conduct other research and data management as necessary.
• Assist with Project Management.
• Other tasks as needed.

Required Education/Experience:

• Master’s degree in Biology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline.
• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Library experience highly preferred.

Required Skills/Training:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
• Strong organizational, reading comprehension, problem solving, self-management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software packages (e.g., JMP, R, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
• Working knowledge of scientific thesaurus or other structured vocabularies and scientific literature mining tools and software.
