Repossession Coordinator

Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate the repossession, remarketing and deficiency processes, as well as ensuring timely payment of all invoices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assign accounts for repossession
• Coordinate the transport and sale of vehicles (involuntary, voluntary, and impounds)
• Track incoming invoices, payment of invoices and auction proceeds
• Request payment histories and prepare documents for deficiency balance
• Send statutory notices for Right to Cure, Notice of Intent to Dispose of Motor Vehicle and Deficiency Balance
• Communicate daily with repossession and auction companies (updates, sale of units)
• Precise documentation, filing and account tracking at every stage of the repossession process
• Monitor pre-repossession work for proper authorization
• Work to identify ways to streamline repossession process
• Communicate with Credit & Funding, Collections, Compliance and Risk

Education/Experience

• High school diploma, or general education degree (GED)

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Outlook
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Internet Explorer
• Ability to navigate a collection system
