Reporting and Compliance Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides strategic and financial support to the operation of Finance through data gathering, validation/analysis, financial modeling, reporting of costs, rates, activity and month/year end closing processes. This position provides reporting insight into the Disbursements reporting activities and is responsible for the overall compliance and adherence to the district’s disbursement reporting requirements. The Coordinator will partner with various departments to provide insight into various reporting risks and manage such risks by providing timely information to decision makers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Serves as the key resource that understands the data structure and relationships of the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Coordinates compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to reporting functions.
  • Performs financial variance and trending analysis, to include; financial and analytical models for decision making and developing and preparing relatively complex reports for management. Supports findings with research, statistical analysis, rationale, and other related activities for use in management decisions.
  • Provides support in creating and distributing custom dashboards, as well as, reporting tools tailored to management needs.
  • Provides for data and report automation to ensure validation, tracking, and reporting of information.
  • Serves as the Disbursement department’s liaison in all aspects of reporting compliance, the principal point of contact for the audit related issues, and ERP software/implementations or upgrades.
  • Performs complex reconciliations and analyses in preparation of information to support both external and internal reports.
  • Participates in special projects to include the development of new systems, products, and entities.
  • Documents processes and procedures for a variety of reporting activities and workflows.
  • Maintains confidential records and files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
  • Requirements
    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor?s Degree required in public or business administration or related field from an accredited college or university.

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    • Five (5) years of experience in reporting and analysis tools such as Crystal Report Writer or other reporting writing tools; government/school accounting and Lawson ERP/Kronos knowledge and experience preferred.

    Compensation
    SALARY GRADE: 133

    SALARY RANGE : $75, 798 to $104, 223

    WORK DAYS: 254 Days (Annual)
