Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Cosmetic Surgery Center

We’re looking for a Registered Nurse to grow our close-knit team at SKY Facial Plastic Surgery! If you are a PRO at placing IVs and recovering patients from general anesthesia, are EXCELLENT at providing the BEST patient experience in a way that reassures and instills confidence and are PASSIONATE about the cosmetic surgery industry, then you may have what it takes to join our team! As the Registered Nurse (RN) you will be the patients’ main point of contact from their pre-op visit through to their 1-week post-op visit. You will lead the pre-op visit, answer questions patients have leading up to their surgery, get patients checked in and prepped for surgery, circulate or assist in the OR during surgery, recover patients from anesthesia, discharge patients from surgery, lead the 1-week post-op visits and answer questions about healing and at-home care post-operatively. You also provide back up to our Certified Surgical Technician and Surgery Coordinator as needed. Your biggest priority is to deliver the “SKY Experience” for every single patient. That means the best customer service, a friendly and attentive attitude, an insanely clean and tidy surgery center, and minimal wait time.

STEP 2 | Do you meet our minimum requirements?

• Do you have good people skills? Are you outgoing and social? Do you know how to maintain a level of professionalism while still coming across as warm and genuine?
• Do you have STRONG experience recovering patients from general anesthesia?
• Are you a PRO at placing IVs?
• Do you understand sterile technique?
• Do you have an active, clean, California license as a Registered Nurse?
• Are you currently ACLS certified?
• Are you currently CPR certified?
• Do you have excellent written communication skills, including proper punctuation, spelling and grammar?
• Do you know professional phone and email etiquette? Do you have a good phone voice?
• Do you use full sentences and proper capitalization in your professional emails?
• Can you type at least 50 WPM?
• Do you have strong computer skills?
• Are you comfortable with maneuvering a Mac?
• Are you good at basic troubleshooting for computer problems?
• Do you have a bachelor’s degree?

STEP 3 | Will you be happy here? The following are NOT negotiable!

• This is an hourly position with no overtime available without prior approval.
• Consistent 40-hour-per-week schedule Tuesday through SATURDAY, starting at 6:05AM.
• Located in 4S Ranch, in north country San Diego between Rancho Santa Fe and Rancho Bernardo. Make sure this is a daily commute you like!
• You may be required to work some evenings and weekends for special events.
• NO HEALTH BENEFITS are provided. We are happy to connect you with an insurance specialist who can help you choose a plan that works for you and your budget.
• We provide 1-week of sick leave per year. Unused sick leave rolls over into vacation.
• Earn up to 2 weeks of paid vacation your first year. Ability to accrue up to 4 weeks of paid vacation after first two years.

• The typical pay range for this type of position is $35-45 per hour depending on experience and fit.
