Recruiting and Benefits Coordinator Opportunity

They are improving outcomes for cancer patients through innovation, dedication and development. This is a direct hire, 6 month opportunity with the opportunity of going permanent. In addition, it includes generous benefits, including parking or ORCA card.

The Recruiting and Benefits Coordinator will work with the hiring managers, and recruiters to ensure great processes are in place to enhance the candidate experience during the recruiting process. They will also be responsible for the administration of company benefits. Your candidate-centric focus, sharp mentality and strong verbal and written communication skills will make you a success in this role.

Responsibilities may include:
Recruiting

  • Schedule phone screens, video conferencing and onsite interviews
  • Facilitate onsite interviews, and pre/post-interview debrief meetings
  • Provide updates to candidates regarding their applicant/interview status as needed
  • Develop strong client and stakeholder relationships (hiring managers & HR) and maintain effective communication channels
  • Work with Hiring Managers to build job descriptions
  • Manage candidate travel and coordinating reimbursement for travel costs
  • Identifying opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency
  • Partnership with HR for effective new hire and onboarding
  • Running background checks, E-Verify, and related pre-employment checks
  • Additional support to the HR team, as needed
  • Additional duties as determined by your hiring manager

Benefits

  • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental, vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits
  • Conduct new hire and benefits orientations
  • Maintain employee benefits filling systems and ensure benefits changes are updated in payroll system
  • Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims
  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies
  • Administer COBRA
  • Review and respond to unemployment claims
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation claims with third-party administrator
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience as a Recruiting Coordinator or similar HR support role
  • Basic knowledge of benefits programs and benefit tracking systems
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Strong computer skills, especially calendaring, email and document management)
  • General understanding of EEO and employment law
  • Highly organized and detailed-oriented; ability to be flexible and handle simultaneous projects with moving parts
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and be inventive
  • Able to work with evolving systems and structures, demonstrating the flexibility to adapt to changing environments and regulations
