Recruiter – Human Resources, 1.0 FTE, Full-time Exempt

JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Supports the mission of St. Peter’s through finding and recruiting talented individuals to provide exceptional and compassionate healthcare. The Recruiter screens the candidate’s academic and professional credentials to ensure the candidate meets the minimum qualifications of the position prior to forwarding to the hiring manager. The Recruiter will coordinate background and reference checks as well as drug screening with the applicable vendor(s). Screens candidates for cultural fit to St. Peter’s, the community, staff and leadership environment. Screens for compensation and benefit expectations. The Recruiter will be the new employee’s first point of contact during the New Employee Orientation process. Responsible for notifying the appropriate St. Peter’s Leadership of their responsibilities in the new hire process (Lotus invites, e-mailing applicable forms, etc). Assist with post interview feedback and analysis. The Recruiter will also be charged with sourcing of candidates for hard to recruit positions via social media sites and networking. The Recruiter is responsible for attending local college/high school career fairs and community events to ensure the presence of St. Peter’s is represented. When applicable, arrange interviews by coordinating schedules; arrange travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews; arranging community tours, ect The Recruiter also needs to have a thorough understanding of current legislation and Montana Law to avoid legal challenges. The Recruiter is also responsible to conduct exit interviews on an as needed basis and provide feedback to the HR Director.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE : Three years experience as a Recruiter in a comparable sized healthcare facility or 5 years experience in general recruiting.

EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in a business or healthcare related field requi

Genuine interest in people to effectively probe and ask questions; demonstrated ability to intuitively assess fit between the individual and the hospital and specific department.
