Radiology Imaging Scheduler

Derry Imaging is seeking a Radiology Imaging Scheduler to join our growing Derry team. With over 215 years of combined staff experience, and a 99% employee retention rate, Derry Imaging is an exceptional place to work!

This full-time position will be part of our collaborative team as you provide excellent customer service to patients and referring physicians. This position’s shift is Monday through Thursday from 8:00AM to 5:30PM and Saturdays 8:00AM to 12:00PM. Responsibilities include efficiently and professionally answering inbound telephone calls; confirming and scheduling patient exams; greeting and registering patients in the office and obtaining insurance information; and faxing reports to physicians’ offices. Exceptional communications skills and patient compassion is critical as you work in a fast paced environment. This position will serve as back up to the MRI/CT schedulers and will be fully trained in MRI/CT scheduling.

Qualifications:
High school diploma with 2 years’ experience in a medical office; prior Radiology scheduling strongly preferred

Basic medical terminology and insurance knowledge

Skilled in the use of computers and related software applications; excellent typing skills

Detailed oriented, ability to multi-task with constant interruption required

Above average organizational and interpersonal skills

Demonstration of ethical and professional conduct, including the ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA)
