Honeywell currently has an opening for a Radar Signal Processing Engineer in our Digital RF Systems group in our Advanced Technology organization. This position is responsible for radar signal processing algorithm development/modeling and radar system performance analysis. Our team conducts research and development in RF system concepts and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advance radar development for detection and tracking in Degraded Visual Environments, Collision Avoidance, Doppler navigation, or Radar altimetry
  • Project activities including requirement analysis, concept design, tradeoff analysis, prototype system integration, prototype flight testing and evaluation

  • YOU MUST HAVE

  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science
  • 5 years of hands on experience with radar waveform design and signal processing
  • 5 years of hands on experience with system design tools, e.g., Matlab, Python and C/C++

  • WE VALUE

  • PhD of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science
  • FMCW Radar or Phased Array Radar Experience
  • Radar Waveform Optimization
  • Experience with Polarimetric Radar Signal Processing / Algorithms
  • Ability to perform systems/SW/HW concept development, architecture design, trade studies, requirements analysis and flow down in support of new concepts of operations
  • Experience working on government R&D projects from DARPA, DOD, NASA, Homeland Security or classified U.S. government agencies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
