Quality Assurance Engineer – Entry

Description:
Leidos is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with a DoD SECRET clearance to join our team to the support the the US Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

The selected candidate will work with our software engineering/testing team to ensure standards are met, metrics are collected, and all inspections are met to confirm the performance and testing of developed software products for the Long Range Advance Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3) and 2nd Generation Forward Looking Infrared (2GF) Post Production Software Sustainment (PPSS) projects.

The selected candidate will have knowledge and skill in interpreting technical data, regulations and guideline material. In addition, the candidate will have knowledge of procedures and skill in performing data analysis as well as an ability to coordinate information/data and skill in developing/writing technical reports. The candidate must possess knowledge of established QA techniques, regulations and requirements related to the functions and mission of the organization and skill in applying this knowledge to plan and perform a variety of QA assignments of moderate scope and complexity.

Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related Technical Discipline. Only candidates possessing both qualification can be considered.

DoD Secret Clearance

Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for the development, testing, and distribution of system software

Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of software changes, testing procedures, and configuration management

Ability to work on-site at a Government lab 5 days per week (no telework)

Ability to travel (< 5% expected)

Equivalent experience/education combinations are NOT permitted based on the Typical Minimums for this job. Desired skills

• Ability to work with technical personnel on-site
• Strong written and communication skills
• Prior US Military/Government experience
