QA Intern

We are looking for a Summer Intern to assist in making progress with our test automation initiative and test case coverage. The QA Automation Intern is responsible for executing enhancements to PeopleAdmin’s products with supervision and coaching from senior team members. Best practices and development methods will be utilized to ensure this individual is contributing at a high level in configuring code and resolving software defects.

WHAT WILL I DO?

• Develop fixes for key areas identified and follow internal procedures to get the work approved
• Create a documented summary of what was worked on as a presentation to key stakeholders on what was accomplished and how.
• Assist in making progress with our test automation initiative and test case coverage.
• Have a basic understanding of the PeopleAdmin product lines including the goals and functionality of each product and core features.
• Collaborate with the development team supporting ongoing web development projects, diagnosing and resolving issues within our TalentEd suite of products.
• Execute the overall strategy for software products.
• Partner with Engineering team to resolve defects.
• Communicate status of activities to Team Lead and Manager.

IDEAL SKILL SET:

• 0-1 years of related experience with a track record of success.
• Experience with basic web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
• Ability to code in C#, Python, or Java
• Advocacy for building products that fit user needs utilizing appropriate technology (e.g. HTML5, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript).
• Solid understanding of modern front-end technologies and concepts (RWD, frameworks, tools).
• Strong organizational, project management and time management skills.
• Knowledge of web services and agile development methodologies desired.
• Actively pursuing a BS or BA in Computer Science or related area with a strong academic record.
