The Python team is responsible for creating management SDKs for Azure Services, Python tools, and consulting service teams on design and development of data SDKs. The team is also responsible for creating meaningful samples, open sourcing them on GitHub, and maintaining documentation internally and on ReadTheDocs. We are looking for a well-rounded Python Development Engineer who can hit the ground running. Familiarity with technologies like .Net and C# are a big plus.

Projects:
Build SDK and tooling interfaces to ease environment provisioning and deployment on Azure

Create world-class samples and documentation

Includes generating new samples, improving older ones

Improving current documentation, and ensuring parity with web services both in terms of content and quality of content

Take samples to the next level by producing Cookiecutters and Notebooks

General Responsibilities:
Work closely with project leads to learn about the Azure services, environment deployment, and integration with tooling

Evaluate and improve current Python SDK documentation

Support customers with SDK usage and design related queries, and create high quality collateral (samples, notebooks, etc.)

Qualifications:
General Skills:
Experience writing reusable software components and SDKs in Python & working knowledge of C#

Experience developing cloud applications using compute, storage, event streaming, and database resources in Python, and preferably Java or C# also

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure environments and developer experience (prior AWS experience a plus)

Release automation, system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience

Experience using scripting languages (Ruby, Python, etc.), configuration management tools (Git, etc.) and command execution

Samples Skills:
Strong knowledge in Python, samples are in Pythonic

Markdown / RST syntax a plus

ReadTheDocs / Sphinx experience a plus
