Python Developer

Job Description: The team is responsible for creating management SDKs for Azure Services, Python tools, and consulting service teams on design and development of data SDKs. The team is also responsible for creating meaningful samples, open sourcing them on GitHub, and maintaining documentation on Read The Docs. We are looking for a well-rounded Python engineer who can hit the ground running. Qualifications:

• Experience writing re-usable software components and SDKs in Python & working knowledge of C#.
• Experience developing cloud applications using compute, storage, event streaming, and database resources in Python, and preferably Java or C# also.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure environments and developer experience (Prior AWS experience a plus).
• Release automation, system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience.
• Experience using scripting languages (Ruby, Python, etc), configuration management tools (Git, etc) and command execution

Samples skills:

• Strong knowledge in Python, since we want the samples to be Pythonic for experienced users
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure environments and developer experience (Prior AWS experience a plus)
• Markdown / RST syntax is a plus
• ReadTheDocs / Sphinx experience is a plus

Must have skills:

• Deep knowledge of Python including prior experience with releasing Python on open source platforms
• Experience with Developer Software Development Kit (SDK)
• Releasing Code on GitHub or open sourcing
