Public Finance Investment Banking Assistant/Analyst

We are currently seeking an Investment Banking Assistant/Analyst to join the Public Finance Investment Banking group in our Portland, Oregon office. This individual will support a team of Investment Bankers contributing to the origination, processing and completion of bond financings for government entities such as schools, cities and counties. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, attentive to detail, and have the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate processes and procedures to successfully complete bond financings
• Create and update PowerPoint presentations
• Conduct research and draft official statements
• Assist with drafting presentation materials for rating agency review
• Coordinating marketing efforts and conference logistics
• Draft proposals and correspondence
• General office administration
• Calendar management, travel arrangements, invoice and expense processing, reconciliation of Visa statements, and scheduling meetings
• Filing and database administration
• Other duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

• BA in Finance, Political Science or related OR Minimum of 3 – 5 years of related experience
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office software
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Must be able to handle multiple projects with changing deadlines and priorities
• Work overtime as required
• Interest in the public sector a plus
