Job Summary & Responsibilities:

Raymond James is hiring a Public Finance Associate to perform analytical evaluations for ongoing clients as well as new deals, while also managing new business and developing relationships as a key person on the Public Finance team.

The ideal contributor will:

• Have confidence in making recommendations and serving as the top second or third person on relationships with important clients, or as the key contact.
• Lead major projects, influence strategic direction, and develop tactical plans to achieve results team-wide.
• Maintain frequent contact with current as well as prospective clients; and support our internal and external partners with requests related to public finance deals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides assistance to senior associates and investment bankers for public finance transactions related to financing needs of local governmental and not-for-profit entities.
• Provides of deal/client management, including preparation and presentation of analytics to staff and board members.
• Interacts with credit rating and enhancement community.
• Provides comprehensive solutions to client’s problems or needs.
• Coordinates with bond counsel and other members of client’s legal team.
• Assists with the development of new business through planning and implementation of a calling plan as part of public finance team.
• Assists in completing financing tasks related to executing transactions.
• May be assigned specific new business targets/transactions or revenue generation goals.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
