PROJECT MANAGER – Public Safety Information Technology
JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Office of Emergency Management and Communications
DUTIES: Under direction, the Camera Systems Project Manager in the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications will be:
  • Accountable for leading projects and work efforts and deliver on time, on budget and on scope performance.
  • Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of multiple, cross-functional projects typically ranging from Camera installations and maintenance, site surveys, overall coordination and vendor interaction.
  • Manages project team and multiple outside vendors to ensure successful services delivery. Accountable for resolution of escalated project issues and risks.
  • Manages vendors to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Consults with and collaborates with business executives, business technology executives, program manager, CIO, senior leadership team, portfolio liaisons, IT strategist and project sponsors to create overall project plan, including business and technical elements.
  • Further duties include planning, managing, coordinating, implementing and delivering project solutions/deliverables that meet camera project requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Networking Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management OR in a technical field of study directly related to the responsibilities of the position PLUS five years of project management work experience.
