JOB SUMMARY: Puget Sound Energy’s Customer and System Projects organization is looking for a Project Manager to join our team. At the discretion of the hiring team, this position may be filled as a Project Manager or Associate Project Manager depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

JOB REQUIREMENT:
JOB RESPONSIBILTY: • Identifies the scope of an assigned project and decides logical action to meet project requirements and deadlines.

  • Manage projects that involve new construction, upgrades, uprates and modifications of the electric distribution system.
  • Work with internal and external customers to manage simple service, line extensions, transformer upgrades, relocations, and feasibility studies.
  • Communicates effectively with individuals and groups from various backgrounds having divergent needs and points of view.
  • Applies general rules, standards and guidelines to specific technical problems. Ability to speak effectively in public to communicate technical information.
  • Gathers, consolidates and analyzes facts in relation to administrative requirements.
  • Perform field site reviews that could involve travel
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least two years relevant work experience, including managing projects or presently performing similar duties.
  • General knowledge of Team management and communication techniques to bring about agreement between divergent points of view. Ability to write clear, concise and direct narrative and reports.
  • General knowledge and experience in scheduling, estimating, accounting and finance principles.
  • Experience with utility methods, techniques and procedures involved in budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
  • General knowledge of techniques used to involve community members in development of project affecting their community.
  • Customer service mentality

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General knowledge of project management principles, processes and techniques, applied in a utility setting.
  • Advanced Project Management Training and Project Management or Construction Management Certification from an accredited institution (PMI or College).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated
