Position Summary: Coordinates internal and external resources to fulfill contractual project requirements. Communicates with customers on contractual and financial issues. Responsible for entire projects or sub-sections as assigned by Group Leader. Typical project size manages is less than $400,000.

Essential Job Functions

  • Travel to job sites as required, act as site liaison for WesTech as needed
  • Review project estimates and prepare job control sheets
  • Become familiar with details of the purchase order or contract
  • Responsible for following the project manager checklist and updating as milestones are met
  • Prepare job review materials
  • Prepare material for job review after jobs are complete
  • Lead contact with the customer in coordinating schedules, project requirements, shipments and special needs
  • Update Group Leader at weekly meeting on the status and progress of each job for inclusion in the group schedule
  • Prepare and submit monthly updated job price review sheets
  • Prepare purchase requisitions; work with the purchasing group in deciding key buying issues
  • Inspect or provide for inspection of buyouts and main equipment
  • Follow up on accounts receivable issues
  • Lead back charge negotiations up to $2500 or ½% of the contract value of project section, whichever is less
  • Understand and comply with ISO procedures
  • Create and manage a job schedule
  • Domestic and international travel is required
  • Conduct detail review meetings
  • Provide assistance to customer through installation and start-up period
  • Handle field problems as necessary
  • Be able to do a project estimate
  • Perform basic start up and operator training on group products, including basic process training
  • Understand basic project related calculations
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree completed in an engineering related field or equal experience
  • Experience: At least 2+ years of related experience
  • Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Windows applications.
  • In addition to engineering proficiency, individual must be dedicated to see projects through from their inception to closeout (years).
  • Detail oriented, well organized with strong communication skills.
  • Possess a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work on own and manage time appropriately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with wastewater treatment design
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MathCAD, Inventor.
  • Working knowledge of WesTech products and process application of each.
  • Familiar with reading and interpreting drawings
  • An understanding of Industrial and Municipal sales
  • Shop experience in layout, welding, fabrication
  • P.E. Licensure
  • Working knowledge of AISC Steel Manual
