Overview

The Content Project Manager supports a Lionbridge client project developing support articles on accessibility features in in its software products. This role interacts directly with the client stakeholders, and coordinates support article work assignments with a team of technical writers, located both locally and in EU. This position also works with the client on related initiatives for end-user support for the software accessibility features.

Scope of Work

The Content PM will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating article development requests from the client with the technical writing team to help support a steady flow of work and optimize the team’s capacity.
  • Anticipating needed clarifications for the technical writers to develop article drafts and working to obtain needed info (from client and product PMs).
  • Reviewing and processing end-user satisfaction data provided by the client to identify and rank existing articles that need updates and/or improvements to raise the sat scores.
  • Supporting the client with newsletter creation, business review presentation preparation, and other ad hoc inquiries as needed.
  • Responding to ad hoc client inquiries via email or phone.
  • Assisting the client with organizing thoughts, ideas and priorities for the extended team.
  • Listening for and relaying opportunities for program solution enhancement.
  • Helping the writing team to fine-tune the production workflows.
  • Collaborating with the accessibility testing team at the Lionbridge office.
  • Responding in a timely manner to any and all concerns that may arise during project.
  • Being available during Pacific timezone business hours.
  • Attending weekly calls with the technical writing team lead.
  • Leading weekly status calls with the client and attending any other client calls and meetings required for successful execution of the program.

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience with managing technical content, ideally with an accessibility focus.
  • Knowledge of technical writing industry standards.
  • Knowledge of accessibility requirements for online content, common software accessibility features and common assistive technology.
  • Working knowledge of XMetal authoring process and Visual Studio workflow an added advantage.
  • Strong proof-reading skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability in effectively providing excellent customer service.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of decision-makers and team members.
  • A team player who works collaboratively with colleagues, management and all points of the organization.

Education and Qualifications

  • The candidate must have 3+ years of experience in a similar role; experience in working with technology clients is an added advantage.
  • Interest in and/or experience with developing content for an accessibility audience.
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.
