Project Analyst

TransCore, (TRN) a subsidiary of Roper Industries, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-time Toll System Analyst to join our Maintenance and Monitoring team in New York City, NY.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform trend analysis to provide reporting and to identify issues, or potential issues, which would lead to degraded system performance or revenue leakage.
  • Identify areas where enhancements would yield better results for our customers including procedural and production improvements.
  • Define, create and evaluate procedures and processes.
  • Assist the Project Manager with various tasks, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, equipment procurement, and reporting.
  • Develop solution by preparing and evaluating alternatives that can improve efficiency.
  • Provide technical support regarding our products to our customers experiencing usage or performance based issues.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed to meet change requirements.
  • Produce technical documentation. Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings with the management and MMC team to discuss progress and issues to be resolved. Progress/activity report on a weekly basis.
  • Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for new development projects.
  • Assist as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving operations/software issues.

  • Properly document and escalate reported issues or enhancements as necessary.
  • Provide system and subsystem auditing on a regularly defined periodicity.
  • Collaborate with development, deployment, and field support teams to insure proper issue resolution and customer service.
  • SKILLS/ ABILITIES
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on attention to detail, and methodical troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical skills and reasoning ability to identify solutions to technical issues.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both customers, when needed, and management in written and verbal form.
  • Attention to detail both in communications and monitoring requirements.
  • Ability to independently manage time and handle multiple tasks
  • Flexibility to work extra hours as required.
  • Desired: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
