Programmer (Entry Level)

We are currently recruiting an entry level Programmer for our Walbridge, Ohio location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs and codes screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
• Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected in compile process.
• Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
• Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs.
• Consults with client to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
• Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Writes documentation or reviews documentation written by others that describes installation and operating procedures.
• Understand the principles of Accounting, Job Costing and Payroll.
• Manage development and production database servers.
• Manage database backups and ensure that Corporate Disaster Recovery and Data Retention protocols are adhered to at all times.
• Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues and conduct database transaction audits.
• Work with the application support / development teams for database upgrades and releases
• Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Information Services.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Willing to be trained to Enhance/Support Applications developed in IBM iSeries programming languages RPGIV, CL, DDS, DB2 and SQL.
• Previous experience with PDM and/or Rational Developer, but not required.
• Knowledge is HTML, Java, JavaScript, C# is a plus.
• Previous experience with data base administration, data transfers and integrations is a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience with eCMS Construction ERP (Computer Guidance Corporation — CGC) is a plus, but not required.

EDUCATION

• An associate’s degree or higher.
