Programmer Analyst – Cobol

We are currently hiring for a top notch individual to office in Latham, NY for the position of Programmer Analyst . The Programmer Analyst analyzes business requirements, develops a design plan, translates plan into program specifications and implementation execution .

Summary of Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, test, implement and support new and existing applications using the selected primary programming language and utilities.

· Create supporting user and technical documentation to describe program specifications, installation, operations, development logic, coding and corrections.

· Design program controls and system manual controls, including business logic, business rules and all other functions relating to the data and business logic tiers.

· Prepare test specifications and evaluate test models, use the test network to test program functions and evaluate test results. Debug complex programs.

· Adhere and maintain a positive working relationship with all the enterprise departments to optimize working relationships and communication.

Education:

· Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination or experience and education

Experience & Background:

· One to three (3) years of system analysis and programming experience required

· One to three (3) years of experience in the development tools and languages appropriate to the associates role

· Cobol Experience
