The Programmer Analyst is responsible for development and ongoing improvement of functionality that meets or exceeds customer expectations and achieve the efficiencies of business area services. Participates in defining/documenting requirements using structured analysis methods and coordinates data analysis and design training sessions, as needed. This role plays a key role in the maintenance, implementation and support of the following solutions PeopleSoft Finance and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) application modules. This position demonstrates strong technical and communications skills, delivers technical solutions to business problems, and interact successfully and effectively within the IT department, with Business Analysts, business SMEs and leaders. Position requires technical knowledge in all areas of system development life cycle, database management and some experience with using development tools such as PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode API, Integration Broker; Web Development tools including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XSL as appropriate, WebLogic, Apache, Tuxedo, other integration engines, internet protocols, and mobile web deployment. Performs other duties as needed.

Job Specifications:
Experience with application development, SQL-based database systems, writing SQL queries, and deploying and supporting application solutions is preferred. Requires understanding of related business procedures and practices in addition to the technical aspects of the application they support. Some knowledge in project planning, project management, milestone tracking and execution. Ability to work with business representatives and apply business expertise to ensure quality and accuracy in articulating the business needs into technical integration requirements. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Access, and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts.
Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas, vendors, and customers. Excellent analytic, communication, and documentation skills. Able to organize technical work; demonstrate excellent planning, problem solving, analysis, documentation, presentation and organization skills; analyze and interpret data, processes and needs based on limited information; organize work and resources; define problems and solutions, prioritize work load; make recommendations; manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives effective. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Finance, Supply Chain, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field required. Minimum of one year of IT work experience in programming in an ERP systems environment required. Minimum two years of experience with SQL Language required. Minimum three years of related experience in health care or information technology will be considered in lieu of education. Object oriented application development and some knowledge in SQR preferred. Experience in PeopleSoft tools (e.g. People Tools, component interface, BI Publisher, MicroFocus COBOL, Integration Broker, SQR) preferred. Application Workflow Engine (AWE) is preferred. Experience in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, and Visual Basic preferred.
As a requirement of this position you must complete Loma Linda University (LLUH) Proficiency within the designated application(s) and/or module(s) you are hired into. This LLUH proficiency must be achieved within the initial 90-day probationary period or as agreed upon with management. Other systems certification requirements may apply, and will be discussed during application and hiring process. Valid California Driver’s License required.
