Program Coordinator- ABD

Highlights of our work include:

  • Providing direct services to over 80,000 New Yorkers a year, primarily families with children. These services address critical needs in low-income communities, including food security; nutrition and obesity; women’s reproductive health; early childhood development; HIV prevention and access to care; quality healthcare access; and tobacco control.

  • Promoting the imminent eradication of AIDS in NYC through research, service delivery and funding administration. We engage 200+ community-based organizations around the city in HIV-related outreach. Our network serves 96,000 people living with or at risk of becoming infected with HIV/AIDS.

  • Developing technology-based interventions and social marketing public health campaigns using video, social media, and interactive internet-based applications, specifically in the areas of reproductive health, HIV prevention and childhood obesity prevention.

The ABD Program Coordinator will provide general programmatic and administrative support to the Facilitated Enrollment- Aged, Blind and Disabled Program Director and will be responsible for drafting timely reports on program data, maintaining updating the application system(s) as needed, and entering data accurately and efficiently into the State Health Commerce System (HCS). S/he will standardize and coordinate the entry of data and basic reporting, as well as maintain database integrity. S/he will also be responsible for supporting the Operations of the program, including preparing payment vouchers, tracking inventory, and managing site lists. The Coordinator will also provide general support to the AHFB Management Team including supporting several projects at one time, and accept reprioritization as necessary.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordination of general program activities and support the Deputy Director, AHFB with various program and administrative functions

  • Monitor the FE-ABD program’s data collection

  • Draft timely reports on program data, including monthly program reports for NY State, outreach and referral reports, and consumer satisfaction survey reports

  • Assist in the scheduling and coordination of meetings in-person or via WebEx

  • Maintain the FE-ABD SharePoint and disseminate program updates, including monitoring the MAP Authorized Resource Center (MARC) HRA Website for ABD related updates

  • Assist the outreach team in promoting the FE-ABD program, including attending outreach events applicable to the ABD population in all boroughs and conducting AHFB-ABD presentations

  • Support the Operations Coordinator and the operations functions of the program with purchasing, invoices and vouchers and related tasks

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ABD application processes

  • Serve as back-up to QA team for any data related inquiries for all AHFB staff and troubleshooting any data problems

  • Help ensure all PHI, PII related documents comply with HIPAA regulation and policy

  • Assist with other administrative program duties and special projects as needed, including providing general support to the AHFB Program Coordinator and Management staff

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 1 year program experience preferred

  • Fluent in standard computer operation with good data entry skills

  • Experience working with Medicaid, health insurance navigation, and/or community health programs (preferred)

  • Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs.
