Professional Relations Representative

Support the Oral Health /Professional Relations function by managing, developing and sustaining Delta Dental’s relationship with providers, hygienists and dental office staff, and by recruiting dental practices to use the Oral Health application (Dentalytics and PreViser) and e-commerce business tools, including, but not limited to e-claims, e-attachments, direct deposit of claim payments, web site and Profax. You will visit dental offices and attend ISDA meetings in the state of Idaho, participating, leading and/or making presentations as needed, using your knowledge of the full-line of Delta Dental of Idaho products and materials you have helped developed. You will provide excellent service with an emphasis on customer education and satisfaction, partner with internal departments, and work collaboratively with other Delta Dental member companies and software companies to successfully roll out corporate programs.

Essential Functions:
Demonstrates behaviors consistent with DDID’s Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

Promote the organization’s Oral Health applications and e-commerce tools to dentists, hygienists and dental practice offices and achieve territory goals within specified schedule. Utilize data to develop and implement plans to target high potential customers. Promote organizational programs indirectly through webinars/workshops and/or by attending other events such as professional society meetings, office manager meetings, CE conferences, etc.

Manage new and existing accounts. Provide training on and integration of Oral Health applications and tools into dental practice operations and maintain positive business relationships to ensure ongoing program participation. Expedite resolution of customer issues/challenges and complaints to maximize satisfaction and participation.

Proactively identify industry trends, competitive information and other market environmental factors for assigned territory.

Gather details of business issues from users and utilize technical and/or dental expertise for problem resolution. Collaborate with Operations or other departments as needed. Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner.

Maintains confidentiality of protected health information and protects confidential business information; ensures compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Develop and implement provider programs such as Medicare Advantage. Respond to inquiries and train on requirements as needed.

Work with marketing to create communications for provider community (email, advertising, patient or provider information, web content, software materials, events, etc.), and manages inventory. Develop and manage presentation materials for promotional activities (webinars, workshops, presentations, events).

Design, manage and track incentive programs for provider/office accounts

Generate status reports on active projects and other related programs

Work closely with WhiteCloud and PreViser to ensure program progression and resolution of issues

Participate and lead (as needed) in conference calls with other Delta Dental member companies

Train other Delta member companies as needed

Attend and present at internal company meetings as needed

Assist the manager with the development of a department budget to ensure resources for annual deliverables.

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor degree in a healthcare or business discipline, preferred. Dental Hygienist license and experience helpful

A minimum of 3 years work experience related to dental offices preferred

Knowledge of dental terminology preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation, sales and negotiation skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in an effective and positive manner

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate situations or data, identify options and generating solutions

Ability to demonstrated applied learning skills, including grasping new ideas and integrate them into desired results

Understanding of group benefits and master contract provisions, helpful

Competent in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Ability to navigate the Internet and web services

Knowledge of OSHA/HIPPA guidelines required

Moderate to heavy travel required

Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
