Production Technician

Position Summary:

Multidisciplinary position; Providing machining, welding, winding and assembly.

Job Functions:

• Set up and run all both manual and CNC machines, for both milling and turning.
• Weld and fit all fabricated products per blueprint in conformance with ASME code and/or PED requirements running MIG and TIG welding machines.
• Lap seats, assemble valves, and set and test product per manufacturer standards. Completes test reports, seals and tags product.
• Assemble and test flame arrestor products
• Execute all functions in accordance with work order requirements, standard work, and engineering drawings.
• Develop CNC programs to be used in the machining process of production orders and Engineering prototypes
• Ensure all components are correct for the order and meet the quality standards prior to commencing work.
• Inspect product to ensure compliance with CAD print and ISO 9001, completing necessary process inspection documents
• Provide backup work for any department in the plant as needed
• Assist in driving continuous improvement
• Provide general maintenance of the machine tool, checks oil and coolant levels
• Maintain clean and orderly work area
• Attend and participate in quality team meetings, safety meetings and other training
• Perform other duties as assigned based on work load and business need

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Vocational training as a journeyman machinist
• Welding Certification
• Minimum combination of eight (8) years CNC and manual machining, welding, fabrication and assembly experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $23.45 to $31.73 /hour

Required licenses or certifications:

• Journeyman Machinist Vocational Training Certification
• Welding Certification
