    Role Summary:
    The Product Support Engineer supports the identification and development of the product offerings for the business, providing front-line product support to customers. This role utilizes modern computer-based hardware, software, and debug tools in the analysis and resolution of reported problems within manufactured hardware and software products; works with engineering, production, quality, and sales staff throughout the life cycle of the product to promptly analyze and resolve customer needs.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    The role plays a vital role as interface between the product line and the industry, both in terms of gathering intelligence from customer contacts and committee work as well as educating customers in the technical advantages of our technology and our products. Maintains familiarity with the design and operation of current and newly released products. Interfaces with current customers at all levels, as required, for the diagnosis and resolution of field failures or problems. Provides assistance to personnel where necessary to identify and resolve challenges arising during the production phase and subsequent field use of our products. Implements changes in hardware and/or software design and related documentation where/when necessary. Works with internal research and development personnel as required in implementing complex changes to existing products. Researches and recommends solutions for component availability/ reliability issues arising during the life cycle of the product.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in electronics/avionics)

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Training and/or experience in Lean Manufacturing (TQM, Kaizen, TPS, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems and avionics equipment
  • Familiarity with MySQL and LINUX
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills.
