Product Lifecycle Management Analyst

The Product Lifecycle Management Analyst work with Facebook’s supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to support Mass Production process, special projects, Agile adoption, and alignment with inventory management for all of Facebook’s hardware products. The analyst will liaise with FB internal customers and external suppliers to curate and maintain document control while enabling seamless implementation of material and product data supporting current supply chain requirements as well as new FB business strategies. The analyst will also be responsible for Product Lifecycle Management transactional day-to-day document control activities such as part number creation, BOM structuring, and change control (ECOs and MCOs). The analyst’s responsibilities will include documenting and training internal employees and external suppliers on PLM tools and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on work creating and managing ECNs, MCOs, BOMs, Deviations, and Part Number creation.
  • Understanding common needs and challenges of BOMs and ECOs.
  • Participation in cross-functional projects with shifting priorities within critical due dates.
  • Support in BOM automation projects and pin point opportunities for process improvement.
  • Be responsible for Product Lifecycle Management transactional day-to-day activities to support new production introduction (NPI) as well as sustaining activities.
  • Interface with all necessary individuals in supporting departments as well as key suppliers in order to accurately process changes and structure/classification of new products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with PLM/PDM tools.
  • Technical knowledge of product structure and processes.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams on division wide initiatives and process improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the supply chain and product development process.
  • Knowledge in the needs and challenges of BOMs and ECOs.
  • Experience dealing with overlapping projects and shifting priorities within due dates.
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Computer science.
  • Experience working with ODMs and factories in Asia.
  • Products knowledge in servers, storage, networking, and/or consumer goods.
  • Direct experience with Agile and/or Arena.
