Procurement Representative Senior

The designated buyer will be a part the USAF Gen III Industrial Product-Support Vendor (IPV) sourcing team operating in a fast paced environment that requires daily communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers. This position involves critical thinking, problem solving, and excellent communication skills. This position will work closely with suppliers and the Program Management Office to provide rapid response for procurements supporting the program. Analyze suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

Duties include:

• Responsible for preparation and issuance of Request for Proposals / Request for Quotes (RFP/RFQs), researching and evaluating qualifications of procurement sources, prepare detailed evaluations of proposals, negotiating material to target costs.
• Review supplier performance and manage On-Time Delivery
• Work with supplier and Lakeland’s Accounts Payable department to close supplier invoice issues and resolve open commitments.
• Create Purchase Orders (POs) and PO folders in accordance with Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP) and other Lockheed Martin Policies and Procedures
• Conduct negotiations for best value, delivery schedule, and Terms and Conditions
• Process supplier metrics and sourcing metrics; identify trends and implement process improvements.

Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the US. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree with 6 years related experience in the following skill sets:

Government Acquisition / Procurement experience

Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

Must have experience buying and sourcing aircraft parts.

Skilled in procurement negotiations.

Desired skills

Experience with Integrated Prime Vending Contracts.

Knowledge of FAR, DFARS.

Hands on experience with SAP / Lockheed Martin Procure to Pay Process.

Existing Knowledge of Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills(LMAP)
